Celebrating over 35 years as a reputable Australian Children’s shoe business, Surefit was founded in 1984 to provide Aussie Kids the most comfortable and highest quality shoes that “make every step stronger.”
Owner John grew up around the construction and manufacturing of shoes, in
fact some of his earliest memories take place in the garage of his family home
in Melbourne, watching and helping his mother hand stitch shoes. At the age
of 18 he began his footwear journey crafting and designing footwear for the
family business. Through 10 years of designing, constructing and learning
the art of footwear, John took over the Surefit brand in 2002 with a vision to
combine his years of knowledge and expertise in quality shoes to the children’s
footwear industry.
Since embarking on its journey, Surefit has grown and is now stocked in hundreds
of stores Australia wide, offering Children a shoe which they will love as they
grow and offering parents peace of mind knowing that their child’s feet are being
shaped to achieve long term foot health. Over the years, we have improved our
product to ensure that kids feet are protected now and into the future.

Over the past 3 years, we’ve switched to 100% eco-friendly packaging. Our shoe boxes are coloured with water based paints, and are also completely recyclable, ensuring that they can keep giving back over and over again rather than go into landfill. (They also look super nice)

It’s the little things that count when protecting the environment, we’ve gone the extra mile by removing chrome from the leathers that make up our shoes.
Chrome in the leather colouring can also be harmful to the environment by contaminating water supply and soil in local areas. This is just another small step we take to benefit the environment that our kids will grow up in.

Our innovation in Children’s footwear never stops, that’s why as of 2020 we are using lining made from a new, innovative technology called On-Steam. Although the material replicates the feel and look of leather, it is antibacterial, and provides 6 times greater transport of humidity allowing for a much more comfortable experience for children, particularly in warmer weather. On-Steam is certified as a sustainable material and is free of chrome as well as produced with no carbon footprint.
